  AL FRIO Y AL FUEGO

Al Frío y al Fuego is one of the best restaurants in the city of Iquitos. It is located on the Rio Itaya s / n Isla Iquitos. Belen-Maynas, and one of the ways to get there, was taking me by boat from their jetty. It also has beautiful views since it is located in the middle of the river, it also has a pool where you can bathe before or after having tasted its exquisite dishes. It opens at noon every day and you can have lunch or dinner.

The food is nothing to write home about (a bit expensive actually for what is offered), but the place is worth it. The experience starts from the moment you have to navigate to the restaurant; I did it before the sun goes down, I enjoyed a beautiful sunset while having a nice drink and I came back at night.

They have typical food from our region, apart from other foods from different regions of our country. The appetizer I ordered is tangy and made instantly. It has delicious cubes of fresh doncella, macerated in cocona juice, charapita chili pepper, cilantro sacha, red onion, tender shelled corn cooked in star anise, glazed sweet potatoes, fried field and lettuce. Soups are very good too. My main dish was Cecina in Loreto style; made of smoked jerky with tacachos and chonta salad, accompanied by a sweet chili sauce. It's delicious!. There are many salads that you can order with your meal. They also have a great variety of snacks, grills, meats and desserts.
